Man accused of touching woman on GO turns himself in
An 18-year-old male turned himself into Durham police in connection with a woman saying she was touched inappropriately on a GO train between Whitby and Ajax.
On Wednesday, Feb. 18 at approximately 3:20 p.m., a male suspect approached a female on the GO train between Ajax and Whitby. Police say the man sat down beside her, asked if he could ask a question and then touched her inappropriately.
The female victim reported the incident to GO Transit officials, who contacted police.
On June 2, a male turned himself into officers at Central East Division in Oshawa. Police say there was “insufficient evidence to support a criminal charge” and let the man go with a warning.
