Shot fired in Oshawa

Police are investigating after reports of a single gunshot in downtown Oshawa.

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, at approximately 1:30 a.m., members of Central East Division were called to the area of John Street and Albert Street for reports of an armed person.

Two witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot near the court at the end of John Street. They observed two men running from the area, northbound toward Bruce Street. No gun was seen and no one was hurt.

Police located a 9 mm shell casing on the ground at the end of John Street.

The first suspect is described as: male, white, clean-shaven with brown hair. He was wearing a white tracksuit.

The second suspect is described as: male with a tan complexion, wearing an orange sweater, dark shorts and a baseball hat.
