Three arrested over armed pharmacy robberies

Three robbery suspects arrested in Toronto have now been linked to other robberies in Durham Region.

A joint investigation between DRPS and Toronto police found the three were involved with six pharmacy robberies between September and April.

The trio are alleged to have robbed Castle Pharmacy in Newcastle on Nov. 19, the Pharmasave on Wilson Road South in Oshawa on Jan. 25 and Stutt’s Pharmacy in Orono on Feb. 25. Police say three other drug stores in Toronto were robbed in the same time period.

A 29-year-old of Central Park Boulevard North in Oshawa has been charged with three counts of armed robbery, three counts of disguise with intent and one count of possession of stolen property.

A 32-year-old of Central Park Boulevard North in Oshawa has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of disguise with intent, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order and one count of possession of stolen property.

A 49-year-old of King Street in Millbrook has been charged with armed robbery and possession of stolen property.
