Police find $125 in marijuana

Two Oshawa residents have been arrested after a search by police turned up $125,000 worth of marijuana.

On Wednesday, April 29 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Durham police responded to an apartment complex after “a quantity of packaged drugs was found inside,” according to a news release. The DRPS Drug Enforcement Unit found 26 pounds of packaged marijuana inside one of the units.

The two occupants of the apartment returned while officers were doing their search. They were arrested without incident.

A 51-year-old male and a 45-year-old female, both of Glen Street, have been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
