Skipped court, caught with drugs
Police say an Oshawa man who failed to attend court on drug possession charges was found later with more drugs.
On March 20, a male suspect was found by the Central East Division Target Team at a residence in the area of Simcoe Street North and Beatrice Street West. There, police discovered 168 grams of crack cocaine, 25 hydromorphine tablets, seven Dilaudid tablets, three morphine tablets, five grams of marijuana, 135 pills believed to be MDMA and $1,280 in Canadian currency.
Police estimate the street value of the drugs to be more than $18,000.
A 28-year-old man of no fixed address is facing four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a controlled substance and three counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.
