Arrest made in downtown Oshawa bank robbery

Durham police have arrested a 53-year-old in connection to a downtown bank robbery.
On Monday, Jan. 20, at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to the CIBC branch on Simcoe Street South for a reported robbery.
According to police, a man entered the bank, passed a note to the teller and fled then on foot with a quantity of cash. No one was injured during the incident.
The 53-year-old man of Court Street in Oshawa is charged with robbery. He was held for a bail hearing.
