Vandals cause $10,000 in damage to Kids’ Safety Village

Police are looking for information following recent incidents of damage at the Kids’ Safety Village in Whitby.

Since early-July there have been at least three incidents of vandalism to the property and buildings at the village, located on the grounds of Sir William Stephenson Public School.

Unknown suspects have entered the property by scaling the fence and have broken windows, damaged walk signals and traffic lights, and destroyed a scale model of the village. There was also an attempt to set a fire.  At this time, damage is listed at approximately $10,000.
