Two injured in motorcycle collision

Two Oshawa males were seriously injured after being involved in a single motorcycle collision in Oshawa.

On Monday, July 6 at approximately 7:15 p.m., Durham police were called to a motorcycle collision near the intersection of Britannia Avenue West and Kentucky Derby Way in Oshawa. Witnesses called 911 after a motorcycle with two occupants lost control and left the roadway. The two riders were ejected from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries.

The driver, a 21-year-old Oshawa male was air-lifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious life-threatening injuries.

The passenger, a 23-year-old Oshawa male who was not wearing a helmet, was rushed to a trauma centre with serious injuries. Both males remain in hospital with serious injuries in stable condition.

Police attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
