Teen sexually assaulted in Harman Park

A Stratford teen is facing charges after a young teenaged girl was sexually assaulted in a park.

According to police, the victim, a 13-year-old Oshawa female, went to Harmon Park with the suspect, whom she had met over social media, at approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday, June 26. It was there the accused is alleged to have sexually assaulted the female. Police say that during the assault, the female was able to scream, break free and leave the area.

A 19-year-old male of Stratford has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference in connection with this incident.
