Suspect locked in convenience store during robbery

Police have arrested a robbery suspect after he was locked inside the store by the storeowner in Oshawa.

On May 5, at approximately 10:47 a.m., members of Central East Division were called to the Four Seasons Convenience store on Wilson Road South in Oshawa for an alleged robbery.

The suspect entered the store and demanded cash from the store clerk.

The victim fled from the store, locking the suspect inside the store. He was arrested without incident.

The clerk was not physically harmed during the incident.

A 25-year-old man is charged with robbery. He was held for a bail hearing.
