Stabbing victim keeping quiet, police appeal for witnesses

The Durham Regional Police are making an appeal for witnesses to an Oshawa stabbing, as the victim is not providing any details.

On July 20, officers responded to a home on Elgin Street in Oshawa around 10:30 a.m. where they found a male suffering from multiple stab wounds. According to police, a friend who resided at the residence called police when the victim showed up looking for help.

The male was taken to Lakeridge Health where he was treated and released for minor injuries. The victim has been uncooperative and investigators are trying to piece together what led to the stabbing.

Police believe the injuries may be connected to a disturbance involving four to five males that occurred earlier in the area of Colborne Street West and Centre Street in Oshawa.
