DRPS is investigating after a shot was fired into an Oshawa home on May 13.

At about 4:14 on Sunday, officers were called to a residence in the Rossland Road East and Wilson Road North area when residents were woken up by a gunshot. A window had been shot and a bullet was found lodged into a wall on the main floor of the home. A bullet casing was found outside.

Police are still investigating but don’t believe it is a random incident. However, the residents of the home are not believed to be the intended target as they had only recently moved in.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Det-Const. MacKinnon of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2783.

Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
