Reuse Days returns this weekend
Durham residents are encouraged to drop off reusable items, free of charge, during the region’s next Reuse Days event.
Items will be donated to Habitat for Humanity ReStore locations in Oshawa, Ajax, and Uxbridge, Diabetes Canada, and the Salvation Army Thrift Store.
Items can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 21 at the Durham Region Waste Management Centre at 4600 Garrard Road in Whitby.
Accepted items include clothing, textiles, furniture, appliances, cabinets, countertops and most other usable renovation materials.
Garbage, household hazardous waste and electronics will not be accepted.
Material refused by charities must be removed by residents and may be disposed of at one of the region’s waste management facilities.
