The Region of Durham’s sixth-annual Business Count is currently underway and they are encouraging home-based businesses and farm owners and operators to reach out.
The Business Count is a regional project that aims to collect employment statistics and promote economic development initiatives. The project gathers data about local businesses, including the type and nature of the business, the number of employees, plans for growth, floor space and location.
Businesses and farms can participate by completing the Business Count online at www.durham.ca/businesscount, which will be open until Aug. 25.
Data collected through the Business Count will be used for municipal planning and analysis purposes and to update regional and municipal business directories. Businesses are encouraged to utilize the online directory www.investdurham.ca to “look local first” when seeking out new suppliers.
