Man sent to trauma centre after stabbing

A 24-year-old Oshawa man was saved by a pedestrian who spotted him lying on the sidewalk suffering from stab wounds.

On Feb. 11, at approximately 1:10 a.m., police were called to a stabbing at an apartment building on King Street and Celina Street in Oshawa. The victim was located lying on the sidewalk by a citizen in the area. The victim was taken to a local hospital and later transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries.

It is believed that an altercation may have ensued prior to the stabbing. The investigation continues and there is no suspect information at this time.
