A 37-year-old male has been arrested after threatening a convenience store employee and stealing scratch tickets and cigarettes.
On Monday, Oct. 12, at around 4:10 a.m., officers were called to the Circle K convenience store on King Street East in Oshawa regarding a robbery.
Police say the male entered the store, threatened the employee and proceeded to grab lottery tickets and cigarettes. Officers arrested the male inside the store.
A search of the male resulted in the discovery of two folding knives. The employee was not physically injured.
The 37-year-old Oshawa male has been charged with robbery with offensive weapon, three counts of fail to comply with probation order, and possess weapons dangerous to public peace. He was held for a bail hearing.
