Three adults and one male teen are facing numerous charges after a robbery and fraud investigation concluded recently.
The investigation resulted in the seizure of a gun and counterfeit money.
Earlier this month, members of the Major Crime – Robbery and Fraud Units with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit and other investigative bureaus executed several search warrants at residences in Oshawa, Pickering, and Ajax and as part of the investigation.
The 18-year-old male suspect and the 17-year-old male charged are responsible for an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant in Ajax on Feb. 24.
A loaded .38 calibre firearm and approximately $8,000 in counterfeit $20 Canadian bills were seized during the execution of the search warrants.
The 18-year-old Oshawa male is charged with two counts of obstruct police, two counts of fraud under $5,000, possession of counterfeit money, possession of instruments for counterfeiting, robbery, and numerous firearm-related charges.
A 17-year-old male teen from Ajax is charged with robbery, disguise with intent, and numerous counterfeit and firearm-related charges.
A 21-year-old male of Ajax is charged with three counts of fail to comply with recognizance and possession of counterfeit money.
