Heated argument leads to stabbing

A 44-year-old Oshawa man faces charges after allegedly stabbing another man.

According to Durham police, at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 22, officers responded to an apartment complex on Glen Street in Oshawa.

Police arrived to find a 25-year-old man with a serious but non-life threatening stab wound.

Investigation revealed the victim and suspect became involved in a heated argument which resulted in the stabbing.

The victim was transported to local hospital and the suspect was arrested inside the building.

A 44-year-old man of Glen Street in Oshawa is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a dangerous weapon. He was released on a promise to appear.
