Four firearms and more than $200,000 in drugs and cash were seized during a traffic stop in Oshawa.
At around 10 p.m. on Nov. 2, a vehicle was observed by officers speeding in the area of Ritson Road near Dean Avenue in Oshawa. The vehicle was stopped and during the investigation, drugs, guns and cash were located inside the vehicle. Police located 34 pounds of cannabis, cocaine, two loaded handguns, two loaded shotguns and just over $50,000 in Canadian currency. Both occupants were arrested.
A 19-year-old male from Clarington and 43-year-old woman from Oshawa face a number of drug and firearm-related charges as a result, including possession of cannabis and cocaine, and possessing a firearm that was stolen and had the serial number tampered with.
