DDSB seeks hall of fame nominees

Know someone who went to a Durham District School Board school and deserves recognition for their work in the community? The school board wants to hear from you.

DDSB has opened nominations for this year’s honourees for Definitely Durham, the board’s hall of fame which recognizes notable former students.

Nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee, with the eventual inductees honoured at a ceremony in February 2018, where a plaque with their name and accomplishments will be installed at DDSB’s Education Centre.

Past winners include Ed Broadbent, Bill Lishman, Debra Thompson, Nigel Wilson and Mabel M. VanCamp.

Nominations are open until July 5, with selection criteria, nomination forms and more details available at ddsb.ca.
