CO2 causing global warming is hysterical nonsense

Dear Editor,

I see that John Peate and Ron Horner don’t like to let facts get in the way of their support of CO2 as a pollutant.

Fact 1: CO2 is not a pollutant, but one of the essential building blocks of life on earth. Without it we would not exist. To say that too much CO2 is a pollutant is a gross simplification of how the earth’s atmosphere operates.

Fact 2: Just because the EPA declared CO2 a pollutant does not make it so. Under the Obama administration the EPA would have declared a ham sandwich a pollutant if it advanced that regime’s left wing agenda.

Fact 3: The US Supreme Court overturned the Obama Green Energy Plan including the right of the government to regulate CO2 as a pollutant.

Fact 4: CO2 makes up almost four per cent of the earth’s atmosphere and of that four per cent human related activities account for just 0.28 per cent  of CO2 entering the atmosphere. The vast majority of CO2 entering the earth’s atmosphere is caused by ocean out-gassing  and biomass and not from burning  carbon based fuels.

The remaining arguments that CO2 causes global warming, forest fires, droughts, storms etc. is so much hysterical nonsense that anyone supporting these claims can’t be taken seriously.
