U-Pass price up for vote

After the decision was delayed at a November meeting, the future pricing for university and college students’ pass for public transit is back up for a vote.

At the Feb. 3 meeting of the region’s transit executive committee, councillors will be voting on possible press increases for the pass, which would put it to $135 for the summer and fall terms in 2017 before being bumped to $150 for the winter and summer terms in 2018.

Currently, students pay $103 per term, and will be paying $120 in the fall term later this year.
