Trio splits lottery winnings

An Oshawa man has a nicer looking chequing account balance after he and his two Whitby friends netted $2.5 million in the March 4 Lotto 6/49 draw.
August Eiras of Oshawa is splitting the prize with John Meikle and Augusto Sbarzella.
“Our ticket had three selections. Each one of us chose our own line of numbers,” states Augusto Eiras in a news release. “John’s selection was the winner.”
The group says this win is going to make life a lot easier. They plan to pay off debt and retire.
The trio is splitting the $5-million jackpot with another winning ticket sold in Ayr.
