Survey open for rainbow crosswalk locations
The City of Oshawa has launched public survey on three potential locations of a rainbow crosswalk in the city.
The three locations being considered for the rainbow crosswalk are:
- Option A – The pedestrian crosswalk which is adjacent to the main entrance to City Hall and The Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery.
- Option B – The pedestrian crosswalk located at the intersection of William Street and Mary Street on the east side of Mary Street on William Street and adjacent to the YMCA.
- Option C – The pedestrian crosswalk located on Lakeview Park Avenue, just west of the Jubilee Pavilion.
Residents can view the proposed locations and provide feedback by completing a feedback form online at connectoshawa.ca/rainbowcrosswalk or completing a feedback form on paper at Service Oshawa, located at City Hall (50 Centre St. S.) during regular business hours.
Feedback will be received until noon on Monday, April 6 and will be considered in a report to the community services committee scheduled for spring 2020.
