Stabbing in downtown sends one man to hospital

An Oshawa man was rushed to hospital early Monday morning after a stabbing in downtown.

Police were called to the lobby of a parking garage on Mary Street North in downtown Oshawa on Monday, Jan. 18 around 4:30 a.m. where they found the 27-year-old injured victim.

He was rushed to a Toronto trauma centre with serious injuries and was in stable condition.

Police say the incident may have occurred at an apartment on Simcoe Street near Athol Street.

No arrests have been made and investigators believe this was not a random incident. There are no suspect descriptions at this time.
