Safety award for cop
Durham police officer Const. Chris Ludlow recently received the Public Safety Unit’s 2015 Award of Excellence for his work on the force.
The award, created in 2004, recognizes officers who “consistently demonstrate commitment to duty, teamwork, initiative and leadership,” according to a news release announcing Ludlow’s award.
According to the same release, Ludlow is a qualified search manager and squad leader.
“(Public Safety Unit) searches require a sense of urgency and attention to detail as they often involve vulnerable members of our communities,” the release reads. “DRPS thanks Const. Ludlow for his contribution and commitment to the PSU and the community.”
