Residents reminded to check voting status
With the 2018 municipal and school board elections approaching, the City of Oshawa is encouraging electors to check to see if they are on the Voters’ List. There are two quick ways to find out:
– Online to the VoteOshawa website and find the search tool under the voters page; or,
– by visiting Service Oshawa on the first floor of Oshawa City Hall (50 Centre St. S.).
New this year, if an elector is not listed on the Voters’ List they can easily add their name online or revise any incorrect information until Sunday, Oct. 14.
After that date electors can add their name or update their details at their voting location on voting day (Monday, Oct. 22). Residents who did not receive a voter notification card in the mail can determine their voting place online on the VoteOshawa website or by contacting Service Oshawa (905-436-3311).
