Police seeking second suspect in attack
A 38-year-old man suffered minor injuries after his home was invaded in Oshawa.
On Aug. 14, at approximately 5:55 a.m., officers responded to a home invasion at a residence on Albert Street.
According to one of the residents, two suspects, armed with what appeared to be a firearm and a knife, entered the home and made a demand for cash and drugs.
The suspects assaulted the three residents and two of them suffered minor injuries.
The suspects fled on foot in the neighbourhood.
Responding officers arrested one of them and located an imitation firearm nearby.
A 33-year-old man of Durham Street in Oshawa is charged with robbery with a weapon, use of imitation firearm, assault with imitation weapon and two counts of fail to comply with recognizance.
He was held for a bail hearing.
Investigators continue to look for a second male suspect, but have no description of him at this time.
