Police looking for witnesses, suspects in stabbing

Police are looking for suspects after two males were stabbed inside a residence in Oshawa Wednesday night.

On Wednesday, April 10, at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to a residence on Brock Street East in Oshawa.

According to police, two male suspects attended the residence and confronted the two victims inside the home. During the altercation, one victim was stabbed numerous times and struck in the head with a hammer. The other victim was also stabbed.

The suspects then fled from the residence on foot.

Both victims were transported by ambulance to a Toronto trauma centre. One male had life-threatening injuries, but is now in stable condition. The other male was treated and released.

Investigators have little information at this time to describe the suspects and would like any witnesses to come forward.

Police officials don’t believe that this was a random incident.

Anyone with new information is asked to contact D/Cst. Broadfoot of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2291.
