No excuses for not recycling

Dear Editor,

Regarding the editorial from Aug. 21, there is no excuse for residents to not know what goes into the blue box or green bin.

The Region of Durham has a very handy app, and for those without cell phones, a website on which you can find “Know Before You Throw.” All you have to do is enter the name of the item to find out where it goes on garbage day. Pretty simple.

And for those few people with no access to the internet, I’m sure a phone call to the region would work also.
