Marriage licenses available
The City of Oshawa has resumed its marriage license in-person application process.
While all city facilities remain temporarily closed to the public to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, marriage licenses are now being issued by appointment only, with only one applicant permitted to attend the appointment at city hall.
Couples can contact Service Oshawa at 905-436-3311 to make arrangements to obtain a marriage license in person. Appointments are available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Couples are asked to complete the necessary paperwork in advance. Only one applicant is permitted to attend the appointment to complete the in-person application process.
Couples are also reminded when there to follow health guidelines by maintaining physical distancing of at least six feet (two metres) from others.
The fee for a marriage license is $125 (non-refundable), payable by MasterCard, Visa or American Express prior to attending the appointment.
A marriage license is valid for three months from the date of issue and can be used anywhere in Ontario.
