Man robbed during failed drug deal

Two suspects have been arrested by Durham Region Police after a robbery in Oshawa.

On March 28, a 25-year-old male reported to police that he attended a residence on Elgin Street East in Oshawa to purchase drugs.

When the male entered the residence, he was assaulted and robbed and held against his will. The suspects took his money and threatened him not to contact police.

The victim suffered a cut to his face and other minor injuries.

Members of Central East Division responded and arrested two suspects.

Two Oshawa men, ages 19 and 24, are charged with forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, robbery, possession of weapon for purpose of committing an offence and utter death threats.

According to police, they are still searching for additional suspects.
