Police are seeking a suspect after a 15-year-old Oshawa girl alleges she was grabbed by a stranger and touched inappropriately near a busy intersection.
According to police, the victim didn’t report the incident immediately, but says it occurred around Ritson Road North and Taunton Road in the days leading up to Halloween. She remembers it occurred around 7:30 p.m.
The teen says she was walking southbound at the intersection and was approaching the crosswalk when she noticed a man walking behind her.
He struck up a conversation and followed her across the street.
When they were both on the other side, he suddenly grabbed her. The girl alleges he pushed her into a fence and started touching her inappropriately.
She managed to kick him in the shins and ran away to her friend’s house.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, about 5’3 tall, with a skinny build, acne scars on his face, clean shaven, with short, spiky brown hair. He was wearing black work boots, baggy jeans, a grey-hooded sweatshirt, and a blue and black plaid jacket.
