Freshman sets single season scoring record
First year Fadi Salback has set a new Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men’s soccer single-season scoring record with 13 goals.
He finished this past weekend with two goals in a 6-0 win over the Laurentian Voyageurs after scoring twice in the previous victory over the Nipissing Lakers.
The Ridgebacks’ previous single-season record was set at 10 goals by Fabio Campoli in 2016.
On top of setting a new single-season record, his current 13-goal total also has him sitting first in the OUA in scoring.
Next weekend, Ontario Tech will take on the Trent Excalibur on Saturday in Peterborough before returning to Vaso’s Field on Sunday to host the Toronto Varsity Blues in their season finale.
The Ridgebacks are locked into fourth place and cannot fall to fifth or move up to third.
