Justice for Soli – In December 2016, Soleiman Faqiri, who suffered from schizophrenia, died while incarcerated at an Ontario prison during an incident with correctional officers. No charges were laid against the guards involved and three years later, his family is still looking for answers. Soleiman’s brother, Yusuf Faqiri, will speak about his brother’s life and death, and the crisis of mental health in Canadian prisons. This event is part of Durham College’s first annual Social Justice Week. It runs from 5 to 7 p.m., and is at Durham College, 2000 Simcoe St. N.
