Two people are facing charges after a drug investigation resulted in the seizure of a firearm and drugs.
On May 21, members of Durham Police’s Gun and Gang Unit arrested two suspects and recovered a quantity of cocaine and fentanyl.
With the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Unit, four search warrants were executed at several residences in Oshawa as part of the investigation.
The search warrants resulted in the seizure of a loaded firearm, fentanyl, cocaine, heroin and cash. The approximate value of the items seized was $42,000.
A 22-year-old and a 20-year-old face 18 combined drugs and firearm-related charges including: careless storage of a firearm; possessing a loaded fireman with no license and three counts of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl, cocaine, heroin).
They were held for a bail hearing.
