DRT hosting public information centres

Durham Region Transit is seeking input from the public to assist with future planning.

DRT will be hosting a number of public information centres throughout this month allowing residents will have the opportunity to meet with service planning staff and receive information on DRT’s 2018 service plan.

According to a Region of Durham media release, the 2018 service plan focuses on improvements to the High Frequency Network, providing extra capacity to the busiest transit routes, and approximately 11,000 new annualized service hours.

Public information centres are scheduled as follows:

– Wednesday, March 14 at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre (Whitby) from 6 to 8 p.m.

– Tuesday, March 20 at the Ajax Public Library from 6 to 8 p.m.

– Thursday, March 22 at the Pickering Town Centre from 6 to 8 p.m.

– Saturday, March 24 at the Pickering Town Centre from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
