Cops threatened in online video

An Oshawa man is facing charges after death threats toward police officers were posted on social media.

Durham police were made aware March 2 of a video posted to Facebook where a man threatens to kill police officers. Police discovered more videos posted to Facebook and YouTube with his intentions of killing cops.

Police were able to arrest the male without incident. A search of the residence unearthed knives, a machete and a sword.

A 22-year-old male of Cherrydown Drive has been charged with uttering threats and possession of dangerous weapons.
