City tops in experiential learning

The City of Oshawa has received its 2017 Experiential Learning Employer Excellence Award from the Council for Experiential Learning (CEL).

In 2017, the City of Oshawa provided several experiential learning opportunities, including co-op education opportunities through Durham College, Mohawk College, Trent University and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. They have also provided volunteer opportunities for more than 15,000 high school and elementary school students to help with events. The City of Oshawa hosted 23 Grade 9  students for the Take Your Kid to Work initiative in 2017.
