Child porn charges for Oshawa man

Police in York Region have laid several charges against an Oshawa man for making and possessing child pornography.

The investigation began last month when a teenage girl posted online ads, stating she was interested in modeling and acting part time. Police say the suspect responded to the ads, saying he was a photographer.

On May 8, the suspect allegedly met the victim for a pre-arranged photo shoot at his residence in Oshawa. Police say the photos taken met the criteria for child pornography.

When the victim’s parents became aware of the photos, they contacted police. The victim was not physically injured.

York police say the man goes online by the name of Nick EZ, where he is active in various online photography websites. Police add they believe there are additional victims.

A 53-year-old Oshawa man has been charged with making child pornography, possessing child pornography and luring a child.

Anyone with further information on this investigation is asked to call the York Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7078.
