Bigfoot coming to Oshawa

A pioneer of the monster truck business is coming to Autofest.

Presented by Firestone/Bridgestone, one of the trucks from Bigfoot will be making its way to Oshawa Aug. 22 and 23.

Bigfoot, founded by Bob and Marilyn Chandler of St. Louis, has been in the business of big tires, flinging mud and record-breaking jumps for 40 years.

In the team’s four decades, trucks have gone to 17 countries, been on numerous TV shows and made a name for itself on the world stage by setting two Guinness World Records, including setting the record for longest jump by a monster truck at 214 feet in 2012.

In Oshawa, the team will have plenty of merchandise for sale, so getting a keepsake for the pioneer of monster trucks will be hardly a problem. As well, prizes will be available for those who come to see Bigfoot at Autofest with a diecast model or toy of one of the team’s trucks.
