Work on Farewell

Drivers looking to drive along Farewell Street are advised of lane restrictions on the street.

Lasting until mid-July, Farewell from south of the Canadian National Railway to Raleigh Avenue will be narrowed to accommodate construction of a new watermain.

While the work is scheduled to last until July 15, unfavourable weather conditions could set that back.

“The region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible,” a news release reads.

“Drivers are asked to exercise caution at all times, especially in construction zones, for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.”
