Woman sexually assaulted at bus stop

Durham Regional Police are seeking witnesses to a daytime sexual assault in downtown Oshawa.

On Oct. 12, at approximately 9:45 a.m., a 22-year-old woman was waiting for a bus in front of the R.S. McLaughlin Armoury on Simcoe Street North in downtown Oshawa. An unknown man approached her and verbally accosted her, then grabbed her in an inappropriate way. When the bus arrived, he fled the area northbound on Simcoe Street North, with another man. The victim was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as male, white, in his 30s, approximately 5’9” tall with a medium/stocky build, and short blonde hair. He was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and black running shoes.  The suspect had a small tattoo under his left eye, similar to a teardrop.
