Woman hurt after bus hits Chevy

An Oshawa woman was seriously injured after a collision between a school bus and a car in Whitby.

At approximately 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, police responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision in the area of Taunton Road and Thickson Road in Whitby. According to police, a yellow school bus headed east on Taunton struck a silver Chevrolet that was attempting to make a left turn from Taunton to go south on Thickson.

The vehicle’s passenger, a 23-year-old Oshawa female, was taken to Lakeridge Health by ambulance with serious injuries.

The driver, a 25-year-old male, sustained minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.

The bus’ driver and passengers were uninjured.
