Durham police are on the hunt for two suspects after a Courtice man was assaulted in his home.
At approximately 8:50 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, police responded to a residence on Nash Road in Courtice following an armed assault. According to police, the victim was alone in his basement when a female and a male suspect entered his home through an unlocked door. The female pointed a handgun at the victim before striking him numerous times on the head with it before fleeing. The male suspect was brandishing a screwdriver.
Police say the two suspects were known to the victim.
The victim suffered minor injuries and did not need medical attention.
A warrant has been issued for Katherine Henderson, 35, of Burk Street in Oshawa. She faces charges of assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a recognizance.
Police are also seeking to identify the male suspect, described as white and known as Barry.
