Two seriously injured in early morning crash

Two drivers have been sent to hospital in Toronto following a collision on Friday morning.

At approximately 6:45 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, a vehicle was waiting to turn west on to Toronto Avenue from Ritson Road when it was struck from behind. This impact forced the vehicle to head into oncoming traffic, where it was hit head on.

The male drivers of the westbound and southbound vehicles were initially taken to Lakeridge Health before being transported to hospitals in Toronto with serious injuries.

The male driver of the third vehicle was not hurt, and there were no passengers in any of the three vehicles.
