Two drivers sustained minor injuries in an accident that left a storefront without a window.

Durham police say a GMC Terrain was heading south on Simcoe Street South when it attempted to make a left turn on to Olive Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10.

However, a red Chevrolet Venture van heading north collided with the SUV. The van broke the front window of the locksmith store on the northeast corner of the intersection before hitting a hydro pole.

The driver of the Terrain, a 65-year-old male from Oshawa, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The Venture’s driver, a 62-year-old Courtice man, was treated for his injuries on scene.

Sgt. Bill Calder tells The Oshawa Express that it is too early to say if charges will be filed at this time.
