A 17-year-old Oshawa teen suffered minor injuries after allegedly being assaulted by a suspect who broke into an Oshawa home.
On Monday, Aug. 13, at approximately 5 p.m. members from Central East Division responded to a residence on Lakeview Park Avenue in Oshawa for a break and enter.
Officers spoke to the victim who alleges that when he attended the residence, he found someone hiding in the basement and was assaulted by this individual before he fled on foot. The victim went to a neighbour to get assistance and suffered some non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to local hospital. It is believed that this was not a random incident.
The suspect is described as a male, black, wearing a white sweater and dark jeans.
