Take home a part of Parkwood
Historical estate selling off plants from Tennis court gardens
Bring your money, a box, and a trunk liner and shop amongst the Parkwood perennials for your garden, taking a piece of history home.
In partnership with the Durham Master Gardeners and the Oshawa Garden Club, Parkwood has launched a five-year rejuvenation and replant program.
The program will see restoring of the original planting standards and intentions of the landscapers of the tennis court gardens, located west of the estate.
Plantings in this area have been thinned out or have been removed entirely in preparation for the rejuvenation project.
These historic plants will be available for sale to the public on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 8 a.m. to noon at Parkwood Estates, 270 Simcoe Street North.
The tennis Court gardens are part of the 1920s landscape development at the estate.
