City staff are looking for residents to submit their favourite photos to potentially be part of a document that will guide the City of Oshawa over the next three years.
Oshawa is in the midst of updating its strategic plan for 2020 to 2023.
Residents, post-secondary students, and other community members who are 18 years of age or older can submit photos for consideration through Friday, Feb. 14. Selected photos may be used in the hard copy and online versions of the strategic plan, as well as accompanying promotional pieces.
Photos can be shared in two ways:
– Uploading an image (no larger than five MB) to http://photos.oshawa.ca/submit.aspx?g=StZgRMSzqXb8S59OoohE6weQuAleQuAl
– Contacting the city’s corporate communications department at 905-436-3311 ext. 5686 or firstname.lastname@example.org
The city’s strategic plan is essentially the highest level policy document for the municipality. In late 2019, city council endorsed an update, in principle, to the document.
“We appreciate the time that members of the community took to provide feedback on the endorsed in principle update to the Oshawa Strategic Plan,” says Oshawa Mayor Dan Carter. “It would be great to have photos from the community to fill the document so that it not only reflects community needs in writing, but also the accompanying visuals.”
